Aladdin Theater….
My cell phone wakes me… a call, not the alarm. Joseph from the front lounge…. Slight miscalculation on time today and we arrive at the venue at 9AM.
Do we sit at the venue for 3 hours or go to the hotel? Can we get early check-in? Drive this thing to the hotel and then BACK here? C’mon Dave… make us all happy. {sigh}
Paul walks down the street armed with cutters to trim an overhanging branch that threatens to scratch our beloved home…I call the hotel. Yes…all ten rooms will be ready when we arrive. Thank God. I’m a good guy again.
Check-in….. and head to Starbucks (every 12 feet here) with Vic and Saundra.
11:30 roll back to the venue and meet Nick, our promoter duJour. Another example of the wonderful people we’ve been working with on this tour, Nick is a gem. Great guy. Everything about the Aladdin is professional… from the loaders to the box office to the merch seller. Great place.
Normal day…. have dinner with Jack (Chinese) and back for the show. Disaster strikes when the after-show pizzas disappear from the office. Nobody believes me when I tell them.
Back at the hotel by 1:30. Nice to stay over. 9AM bus call tomorrow for the run down to Eugene….. only 4 shows to go….
