YOU are an idiot…..

The following is the true story of Northwest Flight 1750, from Detroit (DTW) to Nashville (BNA), on Sept. 2, 2009.
You sit on the tarmac at DTW waiting to taxi for take-off, headed for Nashville, scheduled departure, 1:35pm. It’s 1:38pm and the pilot comes on the PA to say that your departure is being delayed [...]

Nice Rig….

I’ve been using a TC Electonics RH450 with an SWR 12″ Bass Monitor cabinet with my upright. AWEsome sound and easy to carry.
Check out the RebelHead on the TC Electronics website. The cabinets are fantastic, too.

Nice Job If You Can Get It…..

I played a WONDerful gig the other night….. NO drama, NO ridiculous bride, NO silly speeches, No amateurs….. just good friends, and good music in a beautiful setting… the upstairs lounge at The Palace Theater in Eastwood.
It’s always a joy to work with Jimmy Cox on keyboards…Mark Copani on guitar, and Brian Scherer on [...]

InterNet Radio

I listen to InterNet Radio.  Yup.  Almost everyday….ALL day…  one of the computers in the house is running iTunes Radio…tuned to “Forever Cool” or “Dimensions In Jazz” or “Pat Metheny Radio” or “The Spirit of Jazz”.

Since 1975, I’ve been a member of The American Federation of Musicians, one of the largest AFL-CIO labor organizations in [...]

March 2007

You know the saying…. when it rains…it’s spring.
In my case, it means people are coming out of the woodwork with projects. That’s a good thing, but it does make for a bit of stress.
The newest…uh…news… is that I’m heading back out in the TM slot on the next Victor Wooten Band tour. Fifteen gigs in [...]
